  • at the final chorus of the dope show you can hear what sounds like a second electric guitar playing. During all live performances and even in the music video there's only one electric guitar. Can anyone help me with this? is it maybe the synthesizer? I'm trying to learn this song on electric guitar, but i need help trying to figure this out. please help?
thanks chatty. that would be helpful, but i'm not so sure it's the bass because in the song its like a deep sound. during the last chorus it's more of an electric guitar sound

  • I really like Arcade Fire, but I think instead of using (or in addition to) a keyboard synthesizer or whatever, they should use an electric guitar and have guitar solos. I think they would sound similar to Pink Floyd if they incorporated that.

Question 2. Whatever happened to guitar solos in music anyways? Are there any new bands that use them. All I hear are guitar riffs and synthesizers in rock music today.
I looking for new bands who use solos. Buckethead, Primus, etc aren't new.

Jess, why are you so bitter? And obviously you don't know shit about music. Guitar solos have been around since the 50s and they were in the 90s and 00s. Not just the 80s.

  • Since the sounds produced by an electric guitar that come out of the speakers are amplified sounds, wouldn't it be possible to let the sound signals sent by the guitar go through a computer with a filter that produces just about any sound you could want that you would be able to play on your guitar?

In short, is it possible to have your electric guitar play synthesizer sounds?
